This article aims to analyze the contribution of Social Pedagogy in social education based on historical documents and practices developed in the Caritas Socialis Entity in the municipality of Guarapuava/PR. The research was carried out based on a bibliographical survey of books published in the area of Social Pedagogy and a documentary survey based on the Political-Pedagogical Project (PPP) plus the annual thematic planning of the researched institution. A questionnaire as a research instrument was applied to the social pedagogue to obtain information related to the performance and role of Social Pedagogy in Caritas Socialis. It is a non-profit, philanthropic entity with legal personality under private law. Associative in character since 1970, it has a trajectory based on religious and pedagogical foundations for the development of projects and programs aimed at assisting families in vulnerable situations.
